ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENTS

Whatever problems you may have, we will work to help you find relief/management as quickly as possible. Treatment involves pre-sterilized needles and are painless. Most patients find the treatments very relaxing and may even fall asleep. A treatment normally lasts about an hour, but plan for a little longer the first visit as history and diagnostics take more time.

CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE

Most patients notice enhanced benefit, if with their acupuncture, they also take an herbal formula aimed at balancing their system and improving their overall wellness. These herbs are recommended based on the Traditional Chinese Diagnosis. They may be changed as the symptoms change and they’re closely monitored for benefit and improvement.

CHINESE STRETCHES

The therapy, called “Chen Gao”, has been used for thousands of years to help lengthen and relax the muscles. It helps the skeletal structure to move into a better state of alignment. It can help relieve pain and tension  throughout the whole body, relax as well as stimulate energy flow, and it strengthens the muscles of the body.

NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING

Diet is crucial for so many health issues. This is an opportunity to really find the best means to help you achieve optimum health, longevity, and quality of life. This time is also  spent reviewing any current supplements you’re taking to make sure they are helping and not hindering your goals to a healthy state of mind and body.

MASSAGE THERAPY

Massage is a wonderful therapy that can both energize and relax the body at the same time. We offer full body massages or partial, shiatsu, deep tissue, aromatherapy and foot reflexology. Please make your appointment in advance, as our therapists are on call.

IVF PROTOCOL (before and after transfer)Evidence has shown that acupuncture can help increase the positive results of an in vitro-fertilization by 40-60%.

Shelly will travel to the fertility clinic to give you a treatment prior to the transfer (which helps to relax the patient and ready the uterus for implantation) and then another treatment afterwards (to help stabilize and hold). Otherwise, treatment can be given before patient goes for IVF at our clinic and then 3 days later return for the post treatment.
